The Role & Project

MACA Interquip are seeking an experienced Designer/Draftperson to join the Engineering Team in Welshpool. We are delivering Engineering, Procurement and Construction execution works for valued clients across WA and Interstate.

Working in conveniently located modern West Perth office, you will be responsible for delivering drafting services in the structural function; from conceptual designs to following the process through to project execution. We are looking for with 5/6 years’ experience in mining mineral processing or plant design.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Provides CAD technical support and develops solutions for all application problems.
• Create 3D and 2D models using AutoCad software.
• Extract information from Vendor and third part drawings to include in Engineering drawings.
• Create drawings and models for review from both written and verbal specifications.
• Drafting from concept sketches or SpaceGass models to 3D modelling through to 2D general arrangements as they relate to mining assets. 
• Basic 2D drafting of structures and platework models conforming to codes and standards AS1100, AS ISO 128.21-2005, AS 13567.
• Detailing, grids, and level construction methods in Advanced Steel or equivalent.
• Ability to incorporate engineering change to detailed drawings from design through to as-builts.
• Check third-party supplied drawings for correctness.
