MACA is on the hunt for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our mining business on a permanent, full-time basis, working an 8/6, 7/7 (DS/NS) FIFO roster from Jandakot.

 

The Beebyn-W11 iron ore mine, owned by Fenix Resources, is located 20km from the Iron Ridge operation in the Mid-West region and is expected to produce 1.5 Mtpa.

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Daily supervision of site maintenance personnel including apprentices and sub-contractors to ensure all tasks are performed in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure optimal utilisation of plant and equipment to limit down time.
  • Plan, prioritise and execute unscheduled work resulting from breakdown or backlog as directed by the Maintenance Superintendent.
  • Ensure all work is completed as scheduled to MACA quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure that monitoring tools such as KPIs and other standard measures are utilised to improve maintenance processes.

 

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

 

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in similar role.
  • Heavy Diesel Trade Qualification or similar.
  • Statutory Declaration Training Supervisor Schedule 26.
  • Sound knowledge of mobile plant and equipment best practice and operational performance.
  • Current drivers' licence. (HR Desirable)
  • Conducting maintenance on surface mining earth moving equipment.
