The Role & Project
MACA is on the hunt for a Senior Mining Leader to join our mining business at our Cape Preston Operation. Working an 8/6 roster and supporting the maintenance of the operational fleet and a small team of operators.
Reporting to the Area Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for the safe and efficient site operations, whilst satisfying the client’s requirements as per the contract. You will plan, lead and monitor your teams to achieve performance targets whilst ensuring adherence to MACA’s standards, policies and procedures in with our core values. The ideal candidate will have a maintenance background with some exposure to operations, preferably in a contracting environment.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Minimum of 7 years mine site leadership experience in open pit hard rock mining
- Proven experience in effective management and administration of the project
- Demonstrated experience in commercial management and strong planning skills.
- Commitment, respect, and compliance to the MACA safety, health and environmental policies
- The ability to build key stakeholder relationships.
- Proven contract mining experience
- Quarry Managers Certificate of Competency
- The ability to monitor overall performance to ensure targets are met and take appropriate action to maintain targets.
- Proven experience in providing accurate, timely and effective progress reports.
