As a Digger / Shovel Operator at Gruyere, you’ll be on the frontline of production operating large-scale machinery to move material safely and efficiently in line with daily targets. You'll be part of a tight-knit and professional crew, working together to keep things running smoothly and on schedule.

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Operate large scale excavators and shovels (Liebherr 9400 & CAT 6060)
  • Load haul trucks to production targets
  • Conduct pre-start checks and ensure equipment is maintained to site standards
  • Adhere to all site safety procedures, environmental guidelines and company policies
  • Contribute to a positive team culture focused on safety, efficiency and continuous improvement

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • Minimum 4 Years' experience in a production mining environment
  • Proven experience operating CAT 6060 shovels or Liebherr 9400 diggers
  • Highly motivated and the ability to work independently
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Strong communication skills
  • Have a “Can Do” attitude to safety
