MACA Mining is seeking experienced Dump Truck Operators to operate, observe and control agnostic autonomous mining vehicle. EACON is an international autonomy provider who are coming into the Australian market to provide an agnostic autonomy solution.
Agnostic autonomy solutions are capable of being retrofit to any make/model of haul truck which provides advantage over current available solutions where full solution (new truck included) required to be purchased.
This project is located in the goldfields at our client’s site on a 5/2, 5/2, 4/3 roster from Perth. This project is currently scheduled to run for 22 months.

Key responsibilities:
- Operate, observe and control agnostic autonomous mining vehicle whilst utilising the EACON autonomy systems of work
- Learn to operate EACON autonomy system
- Maintain a high standard of personal safety and demonstrate an awareness of, and commitment to the safety of fellow employees and the environment
- Attend and actively participate at prestart, toolbox talks, production and other meetings
- Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures
- Accurately record all required information as necessary e.g. time sheets, fleet management systems
- Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Heavy Mobile Plant Operator preferably with Komatsu HD1500 experience
- Previous autonomy exposure preferred but not essential
- Mechanical trade certification advantageous
- Current drivers licence
- Previous Training experience desirable
