As a proud Thiess company, MACA will provide specialist civil construction services at the Eva Copper Mine Project. 

 

MACA is seeking a Storeperson to join our team working on the Eva Copper Mine Project on a FIFO 2:1 roster.

 

Harmony Gold is a global, sustainable gold mining and exploration company with a growing copper footprint. In Australia, Harmony Gold is developing the Eva Copper Mine Project, a greenfield copper-gold resource poised to become Queensland's largest new metal mine. The Project is located on the traditional lands of the Kalkadoon People, 75km north of Cloncurry and 95km northeast of Mount Isa. Find out more about Eva Copper.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage and control the physical issue of parts required for work orders.
  • Manage returns of stock items surplus to completed work order requirements to warehouse locations and process systems adjustments.
  • Receive and dispatch goods in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Accurate issue of receipt of stock and non-stock goods.
  • Carry out pre-start on vehicles and forklift.
  • Maintain auditable and legible documentation.
  • Ensure all statutory requirements are fulfilled in the store’s areas of the project.
  • Maintain accurate records for storage and transport of Dangerous/Hazardous Goods i.e. MSDS
  • Demonstrate and promote the implementation and maintenance of safe systems of work.
  • Inspect goods on receipt and ensure non-compliant or damaged goods are reported to your supervisor, Purchasing and all parties concerned.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities and provide technical knowledge to improve stores efficiency.
  • Conduct inventory audits.
  • Manage returns of stock items surplus to completed work order requirements to warehouse locations including systems adjustments.
  • Issue and receive workshop tooling consumables.
  • Liaise with planning staff to determine and update requirements for planned work on a daily basis.

 

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

 

  • 5+ years stores experience in a mining/civil construction environment
  • High Risk Licence
  • A current Australian driver’s licence
  • White Card
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills
