Are you a skilled Fire Suppression Technician with experience and training in mobile equipment fire suppression and grease systems?

 

MACA is on the lookout for dynamic professionals like you to join our Gruyere Project Maintenance Team on a 2/1 roster.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection and repair of fire suppression systems. Duties include but are not limited to:

 

  • Safely and efficiently complete scheduled repairs and maintenance to equipment using correct manual handling techniques.
  • Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot faults in both the electrical and mechanical components of fire suppression systems.
  • Utilise diagnostic tools and technical expertise to identify issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective repair solutions to restore system functionality and prevent future faults.
  • Accurately maintain detailed records of all fire suppression equipment, including registers, inspection test reports, maintenance logs and other relevant documentation.
  • Ensure all records are up-to-date and readily available for audits and safety inspections, any comply with legal and regulatory documentation standards.
  • Prioritize and complete unplanned maintenance tasks as required in a safe and efficient manner and perform any other duties as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard.

To be successful in this role you will possess the following:

 

  • Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing (desirable)
  • Australian C Class Driver’s Licence.
  • Previous mine site experience in a similar role
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Good knowledge and ability to follow Work Health & Safety procedures and policies.
  • Effective organisation and planning skills.
