MACA Mining are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious 200T Float Driver to support our mining operations in Duketon, WA. This role will involve operating both Cat and Komatsu 200T floats, as well as a Kenworth low loader float, to transport heavy mobile equipment across a vast operational area exceeding 100km between pits.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced operator with strong float knowledge, who is also flexible enough to operate dump trucks or graders when float work is not required

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Operate Cat and Komatsu 200T floats and a Kenworth low loader float for the transport of:
    • Excavators
    • Dozers
    • Drill rigs
    • Loaders
  • Perform safe and efficient loading and unloading of all listed equipment
  • Plan and execute float movements across multiple pit locations with minimal supervision
  • Complete pre-start checks, basic maintenance, and ensure floats are in top operating condition
  • Assist in general production operations by operating dump trucks or graders as required
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, and workshop teams
  • Adhere strictly to all site safety, fatigue management, and heavy equipment protocols

 

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • Proven experience operating 200T floats Cat & Komatsu
  • Experience with Kenworth low loader floats in mining or civil settings
  • Competency in loading/unloading large mobile plant safely and independently
  • Valid MC Licence – required
  • Strong work ethic, commitment to safety, and ability to work across a large geographical site
  • Familiarity multi-pit mining operations is a bonus
