The Role 

MACA Interquip is currently seeking a Graduate Accountant to join our awesome team in West Perth. This role is an great opportunity for a driven and ambitious accountant starting out in their career who wants to learn and grow in a dynamic office, engage with amazing projects and set themselves on a path to the top.

 

MACA Interquip is a division of MACA Ltd and is a multi-disciplinary company with a proven track record in delivering small to large scale EPC and EPCM projects for the resources sector specializing in the design and construction of mineral processing, hydrometallurgical facilities for clients across Australia.

Responsibilities include:

 

Whatever the day requires, accounting isn’t just balance sheets and P&L’s, your part of the team, each day is a new adventure, however we will start with the basics, including:

 

  • Assist in preparation of monthly claims for projects.
  • Preparation of debtor invoices.
  • Accounts Receivable management
  • Assist with the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Project cost control.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Provide support to procurement and accounts payable.

 

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Degree Qualified or nearing completion in relevant discipline with desire to progress towards CA/CPA qualification.
  • Intermediate computer skills with experience using the Microsoft Office Suite
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Takes pride in own work
  • Initiative
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fast and accurate data entry
  • Mining Industry experience or audit background advantageous
