MACA is in search of experienced Electrical Supervisor to join the team at Gruyere on an 8/6 roster.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensuring the efficient supervision of the installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical plant
  • To be responsible to the site senior executive or exploration manager for the safe operation of electrical plant at the mine
  • Ensuring that all work carried out by persons in relation to electrical plant and installations at the mine is adequately supervised
  • Ensuring that electrical plant and installations at the mine are installed and tested in accordance with the Act and maintained in a safe working condition
  • Stopping the use of any electrical plant or installation at the mine considered to be dangerous.
  • Reporting to the site senior executive or exploration manager any situation which may affect the safe use of electricity or contravene the Act
  • Investigating, recording in the electrical logbook, and reporting as required.
  • Recording up to date information in the electrical logbook kept for the mine under regulation 641C Electrical Log Books

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

 

  • W.A A Grade Electrical License
  • Electrical Contractor Nominee WAE200
  • Current CPR/LVR & First Aid
  • Over 10 years of electrical experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role within mining
  • Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 requirements
  • Sound knowledge of WHS Mines Act/Regulations and Mines Electrical Logbook
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Ability to train, mentor and lead site electrical team members including electrical apprentices.
  • Ability to develop trusted relationships with both internal and external stakeholders while ensuring operational excellence
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian standards, regulations, and codes of practice related to HS&E, construction, inspection, testing, and commissioning
  • A current "C Class" WA Manual Driver's License.
