MACA is seeking a HR Business Partner to join our mining team at the Gruyere Gold Project, working on an 8/6 roster with FIFO from Perth. The Gruyere Gold Mine is an open pit operation located within the Yamarna greenstone belt approximately 200 kilometres east of Laverton in Western Australia.
The HR Business Partner is responsible for being the first point of contact for general HR enquiries as well as providing ongoing support and guidance to employees and managers in all areas of Human Resources on site.

Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with people leaders to align and successfully implement effective people initiatives to support key business outcomes.
- Regularly liaise with the client HR team to work on joint site initiatives, particularly with respect to psychosocial incident prevention.
- First point of contact for HR queries from site leaders and employees
- Work closely with HR colleagues across the business to monitor, review and update all policies in line with current legislation and best practice
- Ensure HR matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with legal and company requirements
- Support the Project Manager and Site Supervisors with grievance, disciplinary and capability investigations and hearings
- Help to drive organisational performance and culture by driving core business objectives
- Facilitate the actions arising from the annual HR calendar (performance, remuneration, talent reviews, development plans etc)
- Maintain reporting of the HR metrics and communication with the Project Manager and Human Resource Manager in relation to trends, corrective actions and work requirements
- Conduct training for employees and leaders
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in HR or Business or significant relevant HR experience
- Minimum 5 years in HR Generalist role
- Sound understanding of the legal, regulatory and employment standards framework
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills
- Excellent organisation and planning skills and strong facilitation skills
- Ability to communicate and work with management, clients, suppliers and the community
- High attention to detail
- Commitment to safety in the workplace
- Current WA driver’s licence
