Are you a talented HSE Advisor seeking an opportunity to work in a dynamic business that puts “People First”? MACA is on the hunt for a HSE Advisor to join our business on a permanent, full-time basis, working an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth to the Gruyere Gold Project.

 

The Gruyere Gold Project is located within the Yamarna greenstone belt approximately 200km east of Laverton in Western Australia.

 

In this role you will provide support and guidance to site HSE teams, supervisors and trainers as well as be the link between the corporate safety department, the project and client teams.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide support and services associated with health, safety and environment matters to the Project Manager and the project team.
  • Coordinate site based occupational health, safety, and environment activities to ensure the competence and wellbeing of people, the integrity of equipment, and the safe handling of materials.
  • Ensure that all personnel and subcontractor personnel are adequately instructed concerning safety procedures and systems and that these are complied with.
  • Conduct safety investigations, prepare reports and recommendations, and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Develop, conduct monthly toolbox talks.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a site-based mining environment.
  • A current Australian driver’s licence.
  • National Police Clearance.
  • Experience delivering safety initiatives.
  • ICAM Lead Investigator trained (desirable).
  • Lead Auditor qualifications (desirable).
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate skills using the Microsoft Office suite.
