MACA Mining are seeking experienced Leading hand HD Fitter to join our workshop team at our Gruyere project.

The Gruyere Gold Mine is an open pit operation located within the Yamarna greenstone belt approximately 200 kilometres east of Laverton in Western Australia.

Some of the fleet you can expect to work on include CAT 785 & Komatsu 830E Haul trucks, Liebherr 9400 and Komatsu PC1250 excavators, Sandvik and Epiroc drills, CAT D10 dozers & CAT 16M Graders.

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Possess a positive leadership style, with exceptional time-management skills and the ability to pivot around priorities while providing guidance, assistance, and supervision to the maintenance team.
  • Manage performance, planning servicing, repair and preventative maintenance heavy mobile mining equipment.
  • Ensure work health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Ensure all required paperwork is completed to a high standard by tradespeople
  • Must be proactive in the workplace to ensure quality work is being completed
  • Must comply with reasonable request from the supervisor

 

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • Relevant Australian Recognised Trade Cert
  • Minimum of 2 years post trade experience working on heavy mining equipment
  • Good knowledge of work health and safety policies and procedures
  • Good leadership and people skills
  • Basic computer skills
