MACA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to join our mining business on a permanent, full-time basis, working an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth to Gruyere.
The Gruyere Gold Mine is an open pit operation located within the Yamarna greenstone belt approximately 200 kilometres east of Laverton in Western Australia.
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Mining Superintendent is responsible for the coordination of site based maintenance to ensure the ongoing, safe and efficient mining operations.

INTERNAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Key result areas include:
- Receive, log, prioritise, and coordinate responses to all mobile equipment breakdowns, ensuring timely allocation of maintenance resources.
- Maintain continuous communication with operators, dispatch, and maintenance teams during breakdown events to support efficient resolution.
- Accurately capture breakdown details in AMT, including fault types, corrective actions, downtime, and completion of work orders.
- Coordinate urgent parts requirements by raising orders, liaising with warehouse/procurement, and tracking delivery of critical components.
- Provide shift and daily breakdown reports, support identification of recurring faults, and contribute to root cause analysis and reliability improvements.
- Ensure all breakdown management activities meet site safety and compliance standards, escalating hazards and maintaining adherence to procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail with strong data accuracy and record-keeping capabilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with maintenance, operations, and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Certificate in Business Administration, Maintenance Planning, or a related field, with experience in maintenance coordination, planning, or administration (preferably in mobile equipment or heavy industry).
- Good understanding of mobile equipment maintenance processes and familiarity with systems such as SAP, Pronto, AMT, or JDE, including knowledge of mobile plant used in mining, construction, or industrial operations.
