The Role & Project

 

MACA Mining are seeking expressions of interest for a Maintenance Superintendent - Field to join the Gruyere Gold Project, FIFO from Perth on an 8/6 roster. You will be supported by a back-to-back Superintendent. 

 

The roster is from Thursday to Thursday, and you will be responsible for managing the field services operations. You will be further supported by onsite planners and a team of supervisors assisting the safe operation of the department.

 

Camp is located a short walk from the airport, and you will receive a permanent room. Chartered flights are provided by Virgin departing from T2 and you will receive Virgin Velocity Points.

 

The Gruyere Gold Project is located within the Yamarna greenstone belt approximately 200km East of Laverton in Western Australia.

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Lead field-based maintenance personnel, identify areas of improvement and provide coaching and development strategies.
  • Plan, prioritise and execute unscheduled work resulting from breakdown or backlog.
  • Monitor equipment performance to ensure optimal utilisation and limit down time.
  • Monitor parts and equipment requirements.
  • Commitment, respect and compliance to the MACA health, safety and environmental practices.
  • Actively participates and contributes to the continuous improvement and innovation of MACA work practices.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the supervision and management of maintenance personnel in an open pit mining environment.
  • Proven experience in ensuring our plant and equipment is maintained to a high safety, productive and reliable standard in a timely manner.
  • Trade qualification.
  • Sound knowledge of safe mining and earthmoving practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are a must, allowing you to build relationships across the team and departments.
