MACA is seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Services Superintendent, FIFO from Perth.

 

The Technical Services Superintendent is responsible for leading and managing the technical services team to support operational excellence. This role oversees the planning, execution, and optimisation of engineering, planning, surveying and other technical support functions. You will ensure technical standards and compliance are maintained, while driving continuous improvement, innovation and strategic planning across operational areas.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and manage the technical services team, including engineers, planners, surveyors, and other technical personnel.
  • Develop and implement technical strategies and plans to support production and operational goals.
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of mine/production plans (short and medium term).
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide technical guidance to resolve issues and optimise processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement best practices.
  • Provide technical reporting and analysis to senior management.

 

To be successful in this role, you will possess: 

 

  • A degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a technical management role within the mining industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of mining operations, planning, and development.
  • Proficiency in industry software (Vulcan, Alastri, Shotplus, Blast Logic)
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
