We have an opportunity for a permanent, full-time High Risk Trainer Assessor to join our Trainer Assessor team. Join us for a FIFO opportunity on an 2:2 roster, travelling from Perth to Gruyere.
The Gruyere Gold Mine is an open pit operation located within the Yamarna greenstone belt approximately 200 kilometres east of Laverton in Western Australia.
Reporting to the Training Superintendent, you will play a key role in compliance training and skills development for heavy mobile equipment across various MACA mining sites.

Key result areas include:
- Deliver and assess nationally recognised training and competency for high risk work licences and heavy mobile equipment across multiple mining operations.
- Plan, coordinate and manage training programs in consultation with Project Managers, Supervisors and operational stakeholders to meet site and compliance requirements.
- Ensure all training and assessment activities comply with relevant legislation, industry standards, Registered Training Organisation (RTO) requirements, and company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate training records, assessment documentation and competency matrices, ensuring timely reporting and compliance with audit requirements.
- Promote a strong safety culture by identifying and reporting hazards, adhering to site safety systems, and reinforcing safe work practices throughout all training activities.
- Drive continuous improvement by reviewing training outcomes, implementing process improvements, and contributing to the development of training materials and assessment resources.
- Maintain a minimum of 75% productive time delivering training and conducting competency assessments while consistently meeting fitness for work, operational and professional standards.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an open pit production mining environment.
- Experience operating a range of heavy mobile equipment, and heavy :
- Strong self-motivation with the ability to work independently.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel.
- Current WA driver’s licence.
- High Risk Work Licence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
