We are seeking an individual with significant demonstrated experience motivating and leading a team of Tyre Fitters. As the Tyre Supervisor you will be a dependable point of inquiry and a trusted advisor across the Gruyere Gold Mine, expertly advising on best practices across project lifecycle process including planning, implementation, monitoring, improvements and demobilisation.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Lead, mentor and motivate a team of Tyre Fitters across the Gruyere Gold Mine
  • Act as a key point of contact and trusted advisor on tyre management best practices throughout the project lifecycle – from planning to demobilisation.
  • Drive safe and efficient tyre fitting operations aligned with statutory compliance and site safety requirements.
  • Conduct regular tyre inspections and oversee all onsite tyre activities, ensuring adherence to maintenance standards and operational targets.
  • Collaborate effectively across departments to ensure tyre-related support aligns with production and maintenance goals.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in tyre fitting processes and workforce efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.

 

About You

  • Proven leadership experience in a Tyre Fitter supervisory role within a mining or heavy industry environment.
  • Trade qualification or relevant tertiary education in a mechanical or automotive discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience managing rosters, budgets, and maintenance schedules.
  • Strong understanding of tyre maintenance planning, inspection processes, and compliance standards.
  • Skilled in coordinating and monitoring subcontractors to ensure work quality and safety.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a focus on achieving project targets.
