The Role

 

MACA Interquip Mintrex is on the hunt for a HSEQ Manager based at our West Perth office.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all HSEQ related matters for our mine site constructions projects. The role is West Perth based but will require some site travel and flexibility to manage incidents as required.

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Maintain and improve the MACA Interquip Mintrex’s focus on safety and liaise with internal and external stakeholders on HSE matters.
  • Providing solutions-focused advice on HSE issues to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Work with MACA Corporate HSEQ to monitor, assess and implement strategies to address emerging performance trends.
  • Monitor and advise on OHS and environmental legislation and statutory requirements by Identifying industry standards and best practice, along with legislative change and external trends.
  • Preparation of HSE reports, procedures and management plans.
  • Conduct and assist with incident investigations and oversee all ICAM/Taproot investigations.

 

 

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

 

  • Extensive HSE experience in a mining and /or construction work environment
  • Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or higher
  • Proven leadership experience
  • High level Computer skills – MS Office Suite Word/Excel
  • ICAM Safety and health investigation certification
  • Communication skills, including written, oral and presentation.
  • Organisational skills and ability to multi-task and work to deadlines.
  • Problem solving skills.
