MACA has an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team on 4 days on 3 days off roster from Perth.

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of plant and equipment on the Gruyere project. You will be accountable to manage the maintenance operations for Gruyere to ensure that MACA business objectives are met in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, in line with legislative requirements.

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Promoting a culture to ensure full compliance with all applicable MACA safety standards & procedures
  • Maintain the site maintenance management plan in accordance with business requirements
  • Manage, influence and empower direct reports to execute the planned works and use initiative for problem solving on equipment to ensure performance targets are achieved
  • Manage equipment breakdowns through effective planning and implementation of the appropriate process
  • Assist in the development and management of the annual budget as well as monthly budgets and reforecasts
  • Control maintenance operating costs in line with business objectives and budget requirements
  • Oversee tyre management for the Project in line with Australian Mining and MACA guidelines, processes and procedures
  • Actively engage with Mining Operations to ensure that maintenance plans are aligned with Production objectives
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external key stakeholders.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • Maintenance Engineering or Mechanical Engineering qualifications or equivalent experience or trade qualifications.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ senior leadership experience in the supervision and management of maintenance personnel in an open pit mining environment.
  • Proven experience in ensuring our plant and equipment is maintained to a high safety, productive and reliable standard in a timely manner.
  • Sound knowledge of safe mining and earthmoving practices.
  • Adaptability to changing operational situations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are a must, allowing you to build relationships across the team and departments.
