The Role & Project

 

MACA are seeking experienced HD Fitter to join our maintenance team at our brand new McPhee Creek project!

 

The McPhee Creek Iron Ore Project is located 30km north of Nullagine in the north-east Pilbara region of WA. The three-year project scope includes mine load and haul of up to 10 million tonnes per annum, before being transported to Roy Hill for processing.

 

The fleet on this project consist of Hitachi Excavators (3600-7, 1200), Epiroc Pit Viper 231, D65 drills, CAT dozers, graders, loaders, trucks (D10T2, 18M, 992K, 798D, 777).

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Relevant Australian Recognised Trade Cert
  • Surface mining equipment fleet experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot and fault find complex mechanical and hydraulic problems.
  • Preventative and breakdown maintenance experience
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Good knowledge and ability to follow work health & safety procedures and policies
