MACA are seeking an Operational Technology Technician to join the team on an 8/6 roster at McPhee Creek.
The McPhee Creek Iron Ore Project is located 30km north of Nullagine in the north-east Pilbara region of WA. The three-year project scope includes mine load and haul of up to 10 million tonnes per annum, before being transported to Roy Hill for processing.

Responsibilities will include:
- Support, install and maintain site-based technology systems including but not limited to GPS guidance (HPGPS), fleet management (FMS), in vehicle monitoring (IVMS), collision avoidance (CAS), autonomy, payload management systems and more
- Manage and maintain communications infrastructure (solar trailers, 2 way radio systems, LTE, point-to-point links and more).
- Deliver technical support: troubleshoot, update software, configure hardware, and lead upgrades.
- Maintain secure networks aligned with MACA cyber security protocols.
- Coordinate subcontractors during deployments and system upgrades.
- Develop SOPs, risk assessments, schematics, inventory plans, and training material.
- Monitor technology system performance to drive uptime, innovation, and value.
We are looking for:
- Trade or technical qualification with mechanical or electrical background desired. Relevant experience will also be accepted in lieu of qualifications.
- Field-based mining communications experience (highly desirable)
- Ability to demonstrate up to date knowledge and theory across current industry technology trends.
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- High attention to safety, quality and systems thinking
- Intermediate skills using the Microsoft Office suite.
