MACA Mining are seeking experienced Blast Hole Drillers to join our team on a 2:1 roster at McPhee Creek Iron Ore project, a brand-new venture proudly powered by Atlas Iron. Located 30km North of Nullagine, this site offers fresh opportunities as it kicks off an exciting new mine operation.

As a Blast Hole Driller at McPhee Creek, you’ll be operating modern equipment, including D65 and Pit Viper 231 rigs and play a key role in getting the project up and running. This is a great opportunity to be part of an active crew and make your mark from day one. You’ll be working on a steady 2:1 roster with a company that values safety, mateship and developing its people. Key responsibilities:

 

  • Drill holes to the right depth and angle as per the drill plan
  • Conduct daily pre-start checks and report any equipment issues
  • Adjust drilling based on ground conditions
  • Follow all safety rules and site procedures
  • Demonstrate knowledge of ground conditions and drilling techniques

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a production mining open pit environment
  • Epiroc D65 or Pit Viper 231 experience
  • Current Manual WA drivers licence
  • HR licence advantageous
