MACA Infrastructure are seeking Site Engineers (Civil and Structures) to join our team based in the Bundoora and Watsonia areas, supporting the M80 Ring Road Completion Project. The position will be responsible for ensuring construction activities are executed in accordance with the project objectives, specifications, schedule, cost and quality standards.

 

This package of works covers the design and construction of the North East Link between the M80 - Plenty Rd interchange, and the north tunnel entrance at Watsonia. Works include three kilometres of new freeway, two kilometres of freeway upgrades, construction of retaining walls and bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, and urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Day to day management of project construction activities
  • Monitor and report the performance of the workforce and subcontractors on site to ensure technical, program, quality, environmental, industrial relations, safety and commercial obligations are achieved and maintained
  • Plan and procure appropriate resources to fulfil program requirements (plant, labour, materials and subcontractor requirements)
  • Maintain planning/programming to assist project engineers with 3-4 week look ahead's
  • Financial assisting of cost tracking/invoicing of subcontractors on different packages of work
  • Site supervision and subcontractor management in performance & safety systems
  • Manage changes to scope, deliverables, schedule and budget

We are looking for:

  • A tertiary qualification/certificate in Bachelor of Engineering degree or similar
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role in the civil construction industry
  • Well-developed communication skills with an ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
