MACA (OPMS Cambodia) is on the lookout for an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a FIFO opportunity on a 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster, flying in and out of Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

 

You’ll be based at the Okvau Gold Project, located in Cambodia’s Mondulkiri province, approximately 275km north-east of the capital.

 

We’re seeking a motivated Production Supervisor to join our high-performing team. Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll be responsible for leading and coordinating production crews to ensure shift targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll drive performance, ensure compliance with all company safety and quality procedures, and support continuous improvement across the operation. This position operates on a rotating day and night shift roster, providing variety and challenge in a dynamic production environment.

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the crew to achieve daily production targets and KPI’s in accordance with MACA safety systems.
  • Coordinate work-crew responsibilities ensuring employees are aware of changes and are competent to carry out tasks.
  • Identify and resolve problems and assess the potential impact on production, plant and equipment.
  • Conduct workplace inspections both within your areas of responsibility and across other areas.
  • Ensure the crew is aware of the requirements in the traffic management plan and any updates to the plan.
  • Ensure all employees understand and comply with Health, Safety and Environmental working procedures.
  • Provide technical advice/ expertise on mining operations and deliver training and guidance to personnel as required.
  • Monitor shift performance to ensure production targets are met and take appropriate action to maintain targets.
  • Carry out accident/incident investigations as required.
  • Liaise with the Workshop Manager to plan scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Commitment, respect and compliance to the MACA safety, health and environment policies, ‘zero harm’ objective, STAR program, Fitness for Work policy and MACA’s vision and core values.
  • Build effective and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.

 

To be successful in this role:

 

You’ll bring a combination of strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety. Ideally, you will have:

  • A proven track record of promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture in the workplace.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Production Supervisor role, with a focus on leading, mentoring, and motivating teams to achieve high-performance outcomes.
  • The ability to confidently interpret mine plans and production schedules.
  • A solid understanding of safe mining and earthmoving practices.
  • Extensive open pit mining experience, exposure to Nickel, Copper, Gold, Lithium, or Iron Ore operations will be highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across teams and departments.
