Key responsibilities:

 

  • Safely operate blast hole drills to drill holes to specified depths and patterns according to blast designs
  • Conduct pre-start checks and inspect drilling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Work closely with Shotfirers and Supervisors to achieve accurate drill patterns
  • Monitor ground conditions and adjust drilling techniques to suit varying terrain and rock types

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • Minimum 4 Years' experience in drill and blast operations
  • Experience with Sandvik D1650i, DP1500i and DR410i & CAT MD6250
  • Current Drivers Licence (manual essential)
  • HR Licence (advantageous)
  • Strong communication skills
