MACA are seeking a Senior Mining Estimator to provide accurate and innovative estimating and costing services for the tendering of new mining projects and apply these processes to current projects to improve operational and financial effectiveness.

Key result areas include:

 

  • Understanding of commercial and legal contract conditions.
  • Work with mine planning engineers to ensure mine plan is optimised for the tender.
  • Evaluate mine production schedule of the tender to determine fleet size requirements.
  • Planning and scheduling utilisation of labour and equipment consistent with efficiency targets.
  • Prepare operation and project cost estimate based on mine production schedule.
  • Analyse actual direct mining costs and overheads to aid in developing tender costs.
  • Develop accurate tenders that are practically orientated with due consideration of the scope of works.
  • Actively participate and contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of MACA work practices.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
  • Demonstrate sound written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the MACA values and work practices.
