Key responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinate daily blast activities
  • Working with site leadership team to ensure blasting targets are achieved safely and efficiently
  • Lead and mentor crews, providing guidance and support to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Manage explosives handling and storage, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and site-specific requirements
  • Carry out inspections and audits, identifying and addressing hazards or non-compliance
  • Report on blast performance and production targets, using data to drive continuous improvement

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Minimum 5 Years’ experience in a senior shotfirer position 
  • Proven ability to lead and manage high performing teams 
  • Experience in a step-up supervisor role 
  • Electronics experience advantageous 
  • Current Dangerous Goods Security Card
  • Current Shot Firer Licence 
  • Current Drivers Licence (manual essential) 
  • HR Licence (advantageous) 
  • Strong knowledge of explosives and blasting techniques 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Have a “Can Do” attitude to safety
  • Current WA drivers’ licence
