As a Shotfirer at Gruyere, you'll be responsible for safely preparing, loading, and firing blasts to support daily production targets. You'll be part of a professional and supportive crew, playing a hands-on role in maintaining efficient and accurate blast outcomes.

Key responsibilities:
- Prepare, load and detonate explosives in accordance with safety regulations and blast designs
- Conduct pre-blast inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with drillers and supervisors to execute accurate blast patterns
- Maintain and secure explosives, ensuring proper storage and handling
- Complete and maintain accurate blast reports and documentation
- Monitor environmental conditions to minimize impact from blasting activities
- Ensure the blast area is cleared and secured before detonation
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 4 Years' experience in drill and blast operations
- Electronics experience advantageous
- Current Dangerous Goods Security Card
- Current Shot Firer Licence
- Current Drivers Licence (manual essential)
- HR Licence (advantageous)
- Knowledge of explosives and blasting techniques
- Strong communication skills
