MACA Mining are expanding across WA and we’re looking for Trainee Drillers to join our drill and blast teams on a 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth. If you're looking for a hands-on role, the opportunity to earn while you learn, and a clear pathway into the mining industry this is your chance.

As a Trainee Driller, you’ll be trained to assist in operating surface drill rigs, performing basic maintenance, preparing drill sites and supporting the drill team to deliver safe and efficient production. You’ll need to be physically fit, safety-focused and ready for long shifts in remote conditions. In return, you’ll gain industry-recognised experience and be part of a company that invests in its people.

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Assist in the safe and efficient operation of the rigs
  • Maintain a clean and hazard free work area
  • Handle and prepare drilling tools, consumables and equipment
  • Follow all site safety protocols, policies and procedures
  • Work as part of a team to meet daily production targets
  • Commit to ongoing learning and development to progress your skills

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • Current Manual WA Drivers Licence (HR licence advantageous)
  • A focus on safety, reliability and following instructions
  • A clean police check is a mandatory requirement for this role
  • A keen interest in operating machinery
  • Experience in labour intensive work or previous operating experience 
  • A motivated mindset and willingness to learn
