Events Coordinator

 

An exciting opportunity has become available to join the MACA Team as an Events Co-ordinator. You will be the lead for all major MACA events, many of which support our community partnerships, significantly impacting life-changing cancer research and youth mental health services.

The position is responsible for the execution and delivery of high-quality and seamless events. This is a Permanent Part-time position. The operational delivery of key events including working evenings and weekends, as required and is based in our head office in Welshpool with onsite parking available.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage & Co-ordinate the planning, organising, and execution of key Social and Community events. This includes our 3 x major events, MACA Cancer 200 ride, Golf Day and Youth Focus
  • Manage logistics, including venue selection and catering.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless event operations.
  • Manage event registration and enquiries through email/phone/In person.
  • Maintain accurate records, including budgeting, attendance lists, and ensuring invoicing is completed.
  • Build and maintain a large network of suppliers and venues

 

What are we looking for?
 

  • Possess a relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrate equivalent expertise in event management (preferred), marketing, business, or partnership management.
  • Bring a minimum of 2 years' vibrant experience in events or marketing roles, showcasing a background in administration, project coordination, or sponsorship activities.
  • Thrive in the whirlwind of change, effortlessly adapting your approach and priorities as needed, while demonstrating autonomy and impeccable time management, all while fostering meaningful interpersonal connections.
