The Role & Project

 

Are you a talented HSEQ Superintendent seeking an opportunity to work in a dynamic business that puts “People First”.  Our Gruyere project is expanding and bringing in a whole new fleet. This role will be an initial 12 month contract with the potential to extend and will provide a high level of support to the project manager and support and guide the day-to-day activities of HSE and Training advisors on site. 

You will possess a minimum of Cert IV HSE Certificate and have demonstrated the ability to achieve results within an ‘in-pit’ mining production and mobile equipment workshop environments

The Gruyere Gold Project is located within the Yamarna greenstone belt approximately 200 kilometres east of Laverton in Western Australia. You will work FIFO from Perth on an 4/3 roster and, ideally, will have experience in Drill and Blas / Load and Haul / as well as Maintenance workshop environments.

To be successful in this role, you will:

 

  • Possess 10 years’ experience in senior safety roles – ideally in a production mining environment, and in a perfect world, significant time in contract mining.
  • Have a Diploma OHS, desired along with relevant additional qualifications.
  • Provide support and services associated with Health, Safety and Environment matters to the Project Manager and the Project Team.
  • Coordinate site based occupational health, safety, and environment activities to ensure the competence and well-being of people, the integrity of equipment, and the safe handling of materials.
  • Ensure that all personnel and subcontractor personnel are adequately instructed concerning safety procedures and systems and that these are complied with.
  • Conduct safety investigations, prepare reports and recommendations, and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections.
