MACA Crushing is seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Welshpool-based team. In this pivotal role, you will support all aspects of both mobile and fixed plant operations, ensuring that equipment is operating at optimum productivity and efficiency.

 

You will be responsible for adhering to and promoting scheduled maintenance plans while driving continual improvements in plant utilisation and performance.

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Provide daily support to the crushing operations including plant maintenance and spare parts management
  • Develop engineering standards for the operations phases of the project
  • Ensure maintenance procedure and instructions are adhered to
  • Liaise with all crushing operations ensuring that the labour, replacement, monitoring and use of all crusher parts is in line with project budgets
  • Assist with the technical assessment of crushing equipment
  • Provide technical support and assistance to the Crushing Manager  for tender submissions, tender analysis, equipment analysis and future business strategies
  • Assist in the implementation, ongoing systematic routine maintenance and scheduled preventative maintenance program,
  • Implement and ensure project adherence to a MACA database spare parts inventory management system
  • Assist in maintenance management systems and processes to optimise plant and equipment availability and reliability
  • Monitor wear parts life ( crusher and screen consumables) and repost costs to the Crushing Manager on a monthly basis
  • Ensure timely equipment condition monitoring is carried out  ensuring mechanically sound and efficient operations
  • Carry out maintenance and operational audits on a regular basis with a view to improve plant reliability
  • Liaise with the Crushing Manager on a regular basis with a view to improving plant reliability
  • Actively participate and contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of MACA work practices.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • Minimum six years’ experience in a mineral processing environment
  • Sound knowledge of crushing processes
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in leading small teams, providing supervision and guidance to others in both technical and non-technical  issues.
