The Role:
MACA are seeking a Procurement Manager for a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Welshpool, working Monday to Friday with occasional travel.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing contract management and category strategies, including regional procurement plans. You will lead and mentor a team driving commercial outcomes and cost savings while managing risk. The role also involves negotiating high-value contracts and building strong relationships with senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:
- Ability to apply, dynamically, a robust group procurement framework that addresses value, governance, risk mitigation and planning.
- Managing the team, with a focus on coaching, guiding and mentoring.
- Developing and delivering regional Procurement Plan.
- Prepare and manage tenders, following a predefined and agreed strategy.
- Lead negotiations on significant contracts with a focus on strategy preparation and pre and post review processes.
- Understand and implement our Commercial and Legal requirements to comply with Company policies.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Law, Science, Applied Science or other relevant field and substantial relevant practical experience (in a relevant sector).
- Demonstrated commercial leadership in contract related roles (procurement, sales, law or marketing/business development).
- Proven capability negotiating high-value contracts with sophisticated counterparties.
- Experience in resources, construction or engineering industries.
- Superior communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders, influence across the organisation and mobilise people to action.
