The Role & Project
MACA Australia West is seeking a Regional HSEQ Superintendent based in our Corporate HSEQ team based in Welshpool with regular site travel.
Reporting to the HSEQ Manager for Australia West you will be responsible for overseeing and providing support on all HSEQ related matters for our 14 mining projects and numerous crushing projects. You will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Providing expert and practical advice on Work Health & Safety controls to the operational site-based operations teams.
- Engage and coach HSEQ personnel, Supervisory and Management teams in the business HSEQ system and framework.
- Assist site-based team in ensuring compliance to WHS statutory requirements and HSEQ systems and internal compliance
- Guide, assist and facilitate where required site-based teams in incident reporting and investigations.
- Ensure weekly, monthly and WHS statistical reports are completed, and incident investigations contain accurate findings and are correctly entered into INX.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Diploma in Work Health and Safety is essential, with higher qualifications in HSEQ or related fields being highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in similar HSEQ roles, preferably within the resources industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HSEQ legislation, standards, and best practices across various jurisdictions, including Western Australia
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A high level of initiative combined with strong decision-making abilities and a proactive attitude
- Exceptional organisational skills with a strong emphasis on attention to detail.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office and possess mid to high-level skills with various software and platforms relevant to HSEQ operations.
- Strong HSEQ knowledge and systems experience to ISO:45001 / 14001 / 9001
- Proven experience in implementing and maintaining HSEQ systems to the requirements of Worksafe / DMIRS.
- Lead Auditor Qualification
- Lead ICAM Investigator
- Cert IV Training and Assessment (desirable)
- Knowledge of injury management processes and systems
