The Role 

 

Due to our continued growth, we are currently seeking a Senior Estimator based in our modern office in Welshpool. Reporting to the Civil Estimating Manager, the Senior Estimator will have a lead role in the bidding process from tender authority, site visits, cost estimation, construction methodology, client meetings and tender handover.

For this position you should have the following qualities

 

  • A degree qualification in engineering, construction management or quantity surveying
  • Experience in “first principle” estimating using EXPERT Estimation software.
  • 7+ years experience in Estimator / Senior Estimator roles for Civil Contractors in Australia, preferably WA.
  • Experience in bulk earthworks and civil projects for Western Australian resource clients.
  • Experience in MRWA projects (roads and bridges) is favourable but not essential.
  • Experience in Pronamics P6 is favourable but not essential.
  • Ability to identify commercial and technical risk and provide input to tender submissions
  • Strong ability in analysing estimates and develop innovative solutions to refine estimates
  • Proven ability in time management and bidding concurrent tenders with delegation or outsourcing of bid components
  • Excellent knowledge of bidding and tendering processes
