The Role 

 

MACA has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer who has specialised in Non-Process Infrastructure in the mining industry. MACA is the leading mining contractor across Australia and also has a strong civil and infrastructure division. Our NPI team support MACA executed projects as well as stand-alone projects for our various clients, mostly in Western Australia.

This is a Perth based role with some site travel expected for reviewing/assisting projects and/or tenders.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in civil construction with experience working on Non-Process Infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Ability to support to site team of Engineers and Supervisors in control of all labour and plant resources in order to achieve construction schedule
  • Demonstrated experience in client relations, subcontractor management, project management and previous experience in similar role.
  • Experience approving all project expenditure within the agreed project budget and in accordance with the approval level specified.
  • Competency relating to Project Managements Plans, Management of External agents such as local community, local government, vendors, and contractors, safety management.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction of or similar to heavy vehicle workshops, concrete structures, fuel farms, wash facilities, office complexes, explosives facilities and fit-out/service reticulation and connections.
  • A distinct understanding of tendering processes and associated financial concepts.
  • Perth based role with some site travel expected for reviewing/assisting projects and/or tenders.
