Are you a talented Senior HSE Advisor seeking an opportunity to work in a dynamic business that puts “People First”.  In this role you will have the opportunity to directly contribute to the effectiveness of how MACA delivers services to our valued clients. 

 

This role offers a unique experience joining our corporate team with a primary presence on-site, mixing an 8/6 and 4/3 roster (as sites require), as well as working from our Perth office. With many mining operations across WA, each week will bring you to a different site.

 

Your responsibilities will include offering support and guidance to site HSEQ teams and supervisors. You will also serve as the crucial link between the corporate Safety Department and the teams at various projects and client sites. To be successful in this role, you will:

 

  • Provide support and services associated with Health, Safety and Environment matters to the Project Manager and the Project Team.
  • Coordinate site based occupational health, safety, and environment activities to ensure the competence and well being of people, the integrity of equipment, and the safe handling of materials.
  • Ensure that all personnel and subcontractor personnel are adequately instructed concerning safety procedures and systems and that these are complied with.
  • Conduct safety investigations, prepare reports and recommendations, and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Develop, Conduct Monthly Toolbox Talks
  • Coordinate Site Safety Committee Meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with the relevant statutory requirements and legislation.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections.
