We have an opportunity for a permanent, full-time Mobile Plant Trainer Assessor to join our team on a 2:2 FIFO roster, travelling from Perth to Gruyere.
The Gruyere Gold Mine is an open pit operation located within the Yamarna greenstone belt approximately 200 kilometres east of Laverton in Western Australia.
Reporting to the Training Superintendent, you will play a key role in compliance training and skills development for heavy mobile equipment across various MACA mining sites.

Key Result Areas Include:
- Deliver practical training and competency assessments for heavy mobile plant operators across mine sites.
- Assess operator skills and verify competency in line with site, industry and RTO requirements.
- Plan and coordinate training with site leaders to meet operational needs.
- Maintain accurate training records, assessments and competency documentation.
- Ensure all training activities comply with safety standards, legislation, company procedures and RTO requirements.
- Promote safe work practices and reinforce a positive safety culture during all training and assessment activities.
- Support continuous improvement by providing feedback, updating training resources and improving training processes.
- Spend the majority of your time delivering high-quality, hands-on training and assessments in the field.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE).
- At least 5 years' experience operating heavy mobile plant in an open pit mining environment.
- Demonstrated experience training and assessing operators on a range of mobile equipment.
- Strong knowledge of mining safety standards and operational best practices.
- High Risk Work Licence (desirable).
- Current WA Driver's Licence.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- The ability to work independently and build positive relationships across site teams.
